Role Description
The Subsidy Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing government subsidies, incentives, and financial benefits applicable to the export operations of the company. This role ensures timely application, proper documentation, and continuous monitoring of schemes to optimize the company’s financial benefits under export promotion programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Subsidy Identification:
- Proactively research and track central and state government subsidy schemes, export incentives (e.g., RoDTEP, RoSCTL, MEIS/SEIS, EPCG, TMA), and other financial benefits relevant to the seafood/export sector.
- Application & Claim Filing:
- Prepare, verify, and submit subsidy/incentive applications accurately and within timelines, coordinating with departments such as documentation, finance, and logistics.
- Scheme Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with scheme-specific eligibility criteria, documentation, and procedural requirements to avoid rejections or delays.
- Follow-Up :
- Liaise with DGFT, Customs, Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), Banks, and other relevant authorities to track application status and resolve queries or objections.
- Documentation & Record Maintenance:
- Maintain meticulous records of subsidy claims, approvals, disbursements, and correspondence for audit and internal review purposes.
- Reporting & Tracking:
- Monitor claim progress and generate regular MIS reports for management on benefits availed and pending submissions.
- Policy Monitoring:
- Stay updated with changes in foreign trade policies, budget announcements, and regulatory circulars affecting export incentives.

- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Quality control, Quality assurance, and Quality management skills Ability to perform online inspection and quality auditing Knowledge of food safety and regulations related to seafood Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication skills Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Diploma in fisheries or any other degree Experience in seafood processing industry or quality assurance/control is preferred
